Fear of public speaking is the number one phobia of Americans. It can hold people back in school, on the job and in relationships. The good news is that with a little help and practice, everyone CAN improve. Those who are already pretty good, or appear on television regularly, can become more effective and powerful, and elevate their skills to a whole new level.

I empower my clients to speak out with clarity and confidence.

I don’t know anyone who can’t benefit. Media training and communications coaching can help anyone who has to interact with other people, individually or in a group. It’s NOT just for TV appearances. Training helps people give better and more focused presentations, prepares them for interviews or speeches, or simply makes them feel more confident when they interact with colleagues at work. I work with executives not only to help them give better interviews and presentations, but also to run more efficient and effective meetings.

I work with clients to take control of their message. Once you know what you want to say, we work on how best to say it. As a TV producer for 20 plus years, I put hundreds and hundreds of people on TV. I know who gets asked to appear–and who gets invited back. I know the most common mistakes–and what people can do to avoid them. I will teach you what the pros do. Portions of each session can be taped so clients can watch themselves to see what works and what doesn’t.
Sessions are custom tailored for every client, but generally include 3 steps:
• We establish your goal.
• We refine your message and how you communicate that message.
• We film an interview with you and review the tape.

Yes! There are some simple and effective ways to conquer your nerves. Many clients find this to be the most valuable part of their session.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is trying to cover too much. Ask yourself: What is the single most important point I want people to remember? Usually, less is more.
Also, many people are too passive in interviews. They only answer what they have been asked. There is usually a graceful way to get your message across… regardless of what the question is. I teach clients how to formulate their headline and their message before they speak… and how to deliver it effectively.
